Financing Quality Rating and Improvement Systems (QRIS)

Effective QRIS (Quality Rating and Improvement Systems) finance incorporates an emphasis on strategies to support and sustain QRIS administration as well as ongoing financial support for service providers. The Financing QRIS Learning Table will use a sequence of interactive events designed to support your state work to:

  • Examine its current practices and
  • Develop new ideas to support change and improvement in your state’s financing of QRIS.

Each session is planned to be interactive and to help state leaders think about the design and financing of a high quality early education system. Alternative and traditional strategies will be discussed in regard to each participating state’s needs and realities. The learning table will be led by noted experts Louise Stoney and Anne Mitchell, cofounders of the Alliance for Early Childhood Finance.

The Financing QRIS Learning Table is made possible in part through the generosity of funding from the Office of Child Care’s National Center on Child Care Quality Improvement and the Birth to Five Policy Alliance, among other funders.
